Pelvic therapy can help restore balance and stability to your pelvic, hips and back. Come in for a pelvic evaluation to see if your pelvic floor needs to be strengthened or relaxed. Leaking urine does not automatically mean that our muscles are weak. They may just as easy be too tight. If we start with pelvic-floor exercises (Kegels) on an already tight muscle, it will usually become tighter and we start leaking more!
If your symptoms are pain, your muscles often need to relax and align with the other muscles. This is where we evaluate your breathing movements. Being able to take deep breaths is key to have a healthy pelvic floor (who would have thought?)
Have you just had a baby? We encourage every new mother to come in at least for a one time evaluation and see how your pelvic floor muscles are working, see if you have a DR (Diastasis Recti), and that your tissue is healing well.
